Ordering & checkout
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and Apple Pay / Google Pay where supported by your browser. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see your full card number.
What currency are prices in?
Everything on the Site is in Canadian dollars (CAD). GST/HST is calculated and added at checkout based on your shipping address.
Can I use a promo code?
Yes. Enter the code at checkout. Codes are subject to their own terms (expiry date, minimum order value, single-use) and we reserve the right to revoke any code we believe is being misused.
Can I change or cancel my order?
You have a 2-hour cancellation window after placing an order. Email [email protected] with your order number ASAP. After 2 hours, production has typically started and the order can no longer be cancelled or changed.
If you need to update your shipping address before the order ships, email us as soon as possible — we can usually accommodate address changes that come in before the order leaves the workshop.
Will I get an order confirmation?
Yes — you'll receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of placing the order, then production-status updates as your frame moves through the workflow (paid → in production → shipped → delivered).
Photos & uploads
What photo formats can I upload?
JPG, PNG, and WebP. Maximum file size 25 MB per photo. If you have a HEIC file from an iPhone, export it as JPG first (iOS does this automatically when you share or email the photo).
What resolution should my photo be?
The higher the better — at minimum, we recommend the longest edge of your photo be at least 200 pixels per centimetre of print. So for a 40cm × 60cm print, the photo should be at least 12,000 pixels on the long edge for best results.
Modern phone cameras (iPhone 12 and newer, recent Android flagships) easily exceed this for prints up to ~50cm. For larger prints, a digital camera RAW or high-res JPG is best.
What if my photo looks blurry in the preview?
The preview shows you exactly what will be printed — if it looks soft on screen, it will look soft on the wood. You can usually fix this by uploading the original highest-resolution version of the file (not a screenshot, not a social-media download). If you're unsure, email us a copy at [email protected] and we'll review it before you commit.
Can I order multiple photos at once?
Yes — the Studio supports bulk uploads. Each photo gets its own crop and size selection, and they all go in a single cart for checkout.
Do you use my photos for anything other than my order?
No, never. We use your photo solely to produce the order you placed. We don't train AI on them, share them with third parties (other than our print partner for that specific order), or use them in marketing. See our Privacy Policy — Your photos for the full commitment.
Sizes, materials & finish
What sizes do you offer?
We offer 29 standard sizes ranging from small (10×10 cm) up to extra-large (100×100 cm), in six categories: Small, Medium-Small, Medium, Medium-Large, Large, and Extra Large. You can browse the full catalogue in the Studio.
All measurements are in centimetres and refer to the printed surface. Common shapes include square (1:1), classic landscape and portrait (4:5, 3:4), and panoramic (e.g. 70×100).
What is the panel made of?
Each panel is solid wood, 30mm thick, sustainably harvested and FSC-certified. The wood grain is part of the character — every panel is slightly different.
The print is sealed directly onto the wood surface — no frame, no glass, no mat — using a UV-cure pigment process that resists fading.
How do I pick the right size?
A few rules of thumb:
- For above-the-sofa or above-the-bed statement walls: 70cm or larger on the long edge.
- For gallery walls with multiple panels: mix 20–40 cm pieces.
- For desk-top or shelf display: 15–25 cm pieces.
- For portrait vs landscape, follow your photo's orientation; the Studio crop will preview both.
If in doubt, choose one size up — wood-panel prints always read smaller than expected once they're on a wall.
Do the colors look exactly like my screen?
Very close, but not identical. Your screen emits backlit RGB light; a wood print reflects ambient light through a pigment layer. Skin tones, sky blues, and pure whites are the most visible differences. We calibrate for warm, true-to-life reproduction on natural wood.
If the photo is critical (e.g. a wedding or a commercial commission), we recommend starting with a smaller test print before committing to a large size.
How do I hang it?
Every panel ships with a recessed sawtooth hanger pre-installed on the back. You only need a single nail or wall hook. For larger pieces (60 cm and above) we recommend a wall anchor rated to the panel weight. Care instructions are included with each shipment.
Shipping & delivery
Where do you ship?
Canada only — every province and territory, including remote areas (additional 2–3 business days for some remote postal codes).
How long does it take?
Typically 14–21 days door-to-door, made up of:
- ~3 days production in our workshop
- Up to ~15 days international transit
- ~3 days last-mile delivery within Canada
Estimates only — peak periods (e.g. November/December) and remote postal codes can add a few days.
How much is shipping?
Free on orders $130 CAD and over. A flat $45 CAD below that — same price for one frame or several.
Will I have to pay duties or customs fees?
No. We ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) via Imagineship — all duties and taxes are prepaid before your order leaves. You will not be asked to pay anything at the door.
How do I track my order?
You'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as your order leaves the workshop. You can also find it in your account at My Orders, or look up by order number at Track my order.
My tracking says delivered but I don't have the package.
Before contacting us, please:
- Check with neighbours, your building's mail room, or the front-desk concierge.
- Look for it on the porch, behind landscaping, or under entryway furniture (carriers sometimes hide packages).
- Call your local carrier office — they can sometimes confirm the exact GPS drop-off location.
If still unfound after 24 hours, email [email protected] with your order number and we'll open a carrier investigation.
Returns, damage & defects
Can I return a frame if I change my mind?
Unfortunately not. Every Frame Craft order is custom-made with your specific photo, size, and finish, so it has no resale value to anyone else. We can't accept returns for change-of-mind, wrong-size-ordered, or dissatisfaction with the photo content. You confirm the crop and size in the preview before checkout — what you saw is what we print.
My order arrived damaged in transit. What do I do?
We'll replace it at no cost. Email [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damage (the print and the packaging both, if possible)
You don't need to return the damaged item. A replacement ships within 2–3 business days of our review.
The print has a defect I noticed after unboxing.
For manufacturing defects discovered after delivery (cracked wood, faulty hanger, print quality issues not related to your source photo), please email us within 14 days of delivery with photos and your order number. Same replacement process.
When are refunds issued instead of replacements?
Replacements are our default for damage and defects — they get you the product you actually ordered. We issue refunds when a replacement isn't possible (e.g. a size we no longer make, or you no longer want the product). Refunds go back to the original payment method and take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
I received the wrong item.
Email [email protected] with your order number and a photo of what you received. We'll ship the correct item right away — no need to return the incorrect one unless we specifically ask.
Account & privacy
Do I need an account to place an order?
You'll need to sign in to upload photos and check out. Creating an account is free, takes less than a minute, and lets you track your orders and re-order favourites later.
How do I sign in?
Two options: Continue with Google (fastest — uses your Google account, no password to remember), or email + password. Both methods give you the same account.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page, click "Forgot your password?" (or visit forgot-password). We'll email you a reset link. If you originally signed in with Google, just use the Google button — you don't have a separate password.
How do I delete my account?
Email [email protected] from the address on your account. We'll permanently delete your account, your uploaded photos, and your personal information, subject to the limited tax-record retention described in our Privacy Policy.
What do you do with my data?
The short version: we use it only to fulfill your orders and run your account. We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information or photos with any third party for marketing. The long version is in our Privacy Policy.
